i really hate when people act like they're just sooooooooo fashion forward

i just looked at some tumblr and this chick can't be serious that she actually likes some of the clothes that she's posted

like just because it has a name on it, it's cute??

no.

don't get me wrong, i like my share of designer things and i want a few things such as a Louie Damier Speedy and a pair of black sling back peep toe Louboutins

but not because it's Louie and Loubi but because they're well made items and i like the design of both, NOT the designer's name.

(even tho they're extremely noticeable pieces)

i don't act like i know fashion and what's the latest trend

i only know what i like

i tried to mature my shopping by avoiding a&f, h&m, and Forever 21 but i can't fake the fact that they be having stuff that i like

i can't keep up with the Jones's and i had to stop acting like that

thinking i needed designer jeans when abercrombie jeans are my favorite

or not looking thru Forever because some people call it basic

if you asked me, it's about HOW you wear WHAT

not how much it costs

i have my share of foolish clothes and some that can be dressed up but may have cost me under $20, you'd never know from looking at me and i take pride in that

whether it's from the thrift store or Bloomingdale's, if i like it, i buy it.. end of discussion

i saw this maybe a month and some change ago on Kanye's new blog and instantly wanted it

i really am a huge Michael Jackson fan and i was seriously devastated when he passed :'(

(i even cried during the live funeral service #dontjudgeme)

i think it's amazing that this one man created music that my mother AND myself grew up on

not to mention, all of his songs are TIMELESS

what artist out now do you know that is doing what it took him a lifetime to achieve

anywho, i think this is kinda cool

it's mostly pictures... actually, it's all pictures but i never noticed the intricate pieces that Michael used to wear and it intrigued me

i'm really excited about starting back up with my reading, not only has my vocabulary seriously dwindled from lack of reading but i'm bored with television and my mind is more at peace when words are entering or leaving it

(reading and writing, duhh)

i've been doing a lot of things lately to better myself and to kick old bad habits such as:

being over-analytical

being lazy --i started running... well once, but it felt damn good and i plan on making it routine

eating junk food --started eating more fruit, less candy, and less fast food

(five guys and reeses are my only two vices)

being less argumentative

being less negative

worrying a lot less about what people think of me (i'll never change their minds anyway)

being wayyyy less insecure (that shit aint sexy and i'm SEXY lol)

living life to the absolute fullest because i've realized that i waste a lot of my life worrying about irrelevant issues

it took a lot for me to realize i needed to tweak myself but i have a bomb ass support system ;]

so this should be easy

Local Music

this past Sunday, i took a little step outta the norm and went to Liv (nightclub?) in DC where the band Black Alley had a live performance

i'm new to this whole live music thing -- i mean, i've been to my share of concerts and whatnot but this was truly a treat..

i don't think that they had their own songs but she definitely owned EVERY song that she sang

he wasn't lyin!!

had me toe-tappin, head boppin, even dancing a lil bit lol

the vocalist Kacey was running a bit late and her band was fuckin ROCKINNNNN in the meantime

(i soo fell in love with the lead guitarist, Stan)

they did this sick ass version of How Do You Want It by Tupac and Stan SLAUGHTERED it

other than the time i saw this beautiful white guitar in Smash,

all in all, we all genuinely enjoyed ourselves

for some strange reason, i haven't been feeling much like Lesley TheBeauty Milton lately

1. i HATE HATE HATE !! when i text/voicemail people and then i see them the next day WITH their phones.. ON them LOOKING at the phone which means that they saw that i called/texted and IGNORED ME .. ughh i hate that.

2. i hate wen the back of my knees (or my knee-pits) sweat.. GROSS !!

3. everyone thinks that i'm from Cali and i wear flip flops on the FIRST day of spring NO MATTER wat the temperature.. i did live in cali for 4 months, maybe it rubbed off =]
sidebar: though all i wear are flip flops, my toes are very rarely done.. idk but they never look too gross to wear flip flops

4. i noticed that the reason i talk so dang much is that i say EVERYTHING that comes into my head, no matter what it is, it all comes out like word vomit. i also tend to go off on epiphany tangents that only my friends understand.. my words will go 43.867 billions miles per minute and only my bees catch wat i said.

5. i say texted (pronounced textED) and my friends hate it.. o well

6. my friends think im overly country because i say thinks like "..til the cows come home" "daggnabbit" "more fun than a barrell of monkeys" and "i dun..."

which leads me to NY SHIT !!

7. there is an abundance of new york shit that i CANNOT stand such as:
-MAD, OD, TIGHT, AND ESPECIALLY WEN MAGG SAYS "YOU'S A DAWWWG!"
-i cnt stand JIM JONES and all of his swagger splashing ways.. they make me wanna vomit

8. DANIELLE HAUGHTON IS MY tWiiNNNNNNNN !! idk where the hell she's been all my life but shes DEFINITELY the love of my life.

9. i am more than IN LOVE with kanye west. i am a fan on his blog site and i comment on a daily and nightly basis.. i even am so bold to say that he is better than jay-z or at least has the potential to be

10. i am sickly obsessed with pharell and i went to an N.E.R.D. concert and it changed my life. i got on stage, danced with pharell HUGGED AND KISSED PHARELL and he stared at me the whole time (i swear) it was more than magical.. (i'm getting butterflies right now)

11. i am addicted to several things such as tanning aka fake and baking with jordan, tattoos and peircings(though i dont have that many.. i do enjoy the pain), and fall out boy. i love alternative music, and oh yeah SUKI HANA !!! its the best flippin chinese take out on the face of the east coast

12. i am terrified of the dark, CLOWNS, people with small faces, and keloids.. oh yeah and lighters

13. i think that i am very tall, much taller than 5'2.. and i think that my legs go on FOREVER, theyre great

14. people ask me ALL the time if i'm mixed and i have to tell them no and when i get done explaining to them that i am not mixed i am immediately black down to my greatest grandparents they always say "youre not mixed?" i say this soooo much that my friends even know wat i'm going to say when people ask

Scott cuz i think it's SOO CUTE !! i'm not personally against matching tattoos (clearly) and i don't agree with tattooing significant others' names on you (like not only is it dumb but it's bad luck, if u asked me) but i do think that matching tatts are uber cute. the tattoo reads "go with the flow" in a language i'm not too sure of.. but SO! it's awesome.
