i Don't Know Art

but I know what I like.

last week or so i was down at KOP and on the way out, i saw this amazinggggggggg portrait of Jimi

like it seriously took my breathe away

it was big and colorful and fresh and ugh! i fell in love

lemme stop bragging and show yall what i mean

OH EMM GEEEEEEE RIGHT??!!!

she grasped the glow, the music, the bush; the overall essence of Jimi and i HAVE TO HAVE IT

the artist's name is Grace Slick

contemporary artist ( i think that's what you call it =/ )

well, when i went into the gallery to get a better look, i saw even MORE amazing paintings

these are just a few of the pieces that i WILL have in my apartment come this Spring

(i'm into speaking things into existence these days)

hasn't failed me yet :]

Jimi is gonna be in the living room

the floral piece will be in the kitchen or bathroom

one of the abstract pieces is for the bedroom and another for a hallway or extra open area

it's bad enough that i want my own apartment but this made me want it all that much more

i love abstract art, always have

believe it or not, when i was little i wanted to be an artist for a living ..particularly abstract because i liked the fact that it had no set rules or boundaries

i should probably apply these ideologies to my life these days...

anywho, all of the artwork made me want to start painting or at least take an art class

i'd probably enjoy pottery or painting most, i like to make messes :D

so FUCK YOU WORLD AND ALL OF YOUR EXPECTATIONS!

i like staring at things that i find pretty and/or interesting such as eyes, hair, art, animals, and my feet in shoes (#dontjudgeme)

but yeah, couldn't wait to go to this website and look around..
