new obsession

while perusing around Urban Outfitters today avec Boooogie we were greeted with a skipping Jay-Z song. while they fixed the "technical difficulties" they popped in some cd and we went about our business.. until i was listening in and i thought i heard a Jimi sample and upon closer listen we heard some SICK ASS fuckin beats. debating whether or not we should ask who the artist of the music was, i decided to muster up some nuts and ask a sales associate, and i did and was uber hype that he actually knew who the artist was! =D

Young, Black, and Pissed Off

i know some of yall looked at this like wtf?! i do owe you all an explanation.

this is my and 2 of my other classmates' radio show.. last monday we did a segment entitled Young, Black, and Pissed Off with our guests Avante "Boooogie" Davis and Jordan Milton (had fam in the buildin lol) it went extremely well and i know that it is a it lengthy but trust me, it is WELL WORTH the listen. we spoke on former president Bush, music, black influences and representations in the media, Kanye, Sarah Palin

we also decided to start a book club a Morgan State (like, why not! we're cool, we're hip, we're educated) and it can be opened up to anyone!

this month's book will be former President Bush's new book, Decision Points. hope u all enjoy and if u decide to join the book club hit me up for details !!

we plan on making this a weekly monday thing but this monday's show will be YB&P with a focus on the Book and the Book Club

we're just trying to make MSU students have some fun past their studies and really start critically thinking
